北京时间2009年6月26日5:26(洛杉矶当地时间25日14:26）左右，天皇巨星迈克尔-杰克逊因心搏停止在送往加州大学洛杉矶分校医疗中心医院途中去世，匆匆撇下热爱他的粉丝门和家人， 享年50岁。
杰克逊原订于7月13日在伦敦开始全球演唱会，为此他这段时间持续在训练，但由于训练受伤，杰克逊一直在服用处方药。可能是因为压力过大，加上长时间工作、练舞，导致体力不支引发猝死。 但是发言人表示，不清楚杰克逊服用的药物种类以及到了什么程度。目前，有关方面仍然在调查他的具体死亡原因。
如今，我们再也没有机会看到重返舞台的天王巨星了，但是他的经典风范和歌声魅力将永远是现代流行歌坛最闪亮最摄人心的一幕风景。
至于外界关注的葬礼部分，杰克逊的家人或许在稍后会有说明。

Last week the Chopsticks Club held a business event at Chatham House to talk about China’s economic stimulus package. With a good turnout there followed a lively day of discussion and networking. London Huayu reporter Peter covered the event, which will form part of the upcoming China Business Podcast. This was the first of a series of business events to be held at Chatham House by the Chopsticks Club. 倫敦華人社區中心，於2009年5月28日，農曆初五，端午節，在華埠頂好大酒樓舉辦端午節敬老茶會，共有一百六十位長者參加。頂好大酒樓東主將舉辦此茶會的全部收入，共£ 1,280，捐贈給社區中心以作為周年經費，特別是幫助支付其昂貴的租金。中心董事局秘書陳顯耀先生代表社區中心董事局、全體職員、義工向頂好大酒樓贈送紀念牌一個，對該酒樓對社區中心的支持及贊助表示衷心的感謝。
當日出席此茶會的耆英會員之一、在華人社區享負盛名的詩人及書法家黎均全老人更即興作了對聯一副贈送給頂好大酒樓以示感謝：頂上佳餚，配合魚蝦香噴噴；好多美膳調和蟹翅味津津。所有長者們除了品嚐精美茶點外，還獲得頂好大酒樓贈送粽子一個，使他們渡過了一個美好的時光。

Step Out Arts is inviting proposals from budding British East Asian choreographers to take part in a research and development opportunity which will culminate with two showcases to be held at Universityof Bedfordshire and Greenwich Dance Agency in September/October 2009. The showcases provide an opportunity for the choreographers to present their work to national promoters. We are looking to select a range of promising choreographers who work in a range of mediums including: contemporary dance, contemporary/ballet, Chinese contemporary, street dance, hip hop dance, multi-media dance projects and video dance.
